Sleepy Sun at Johnny Brendas 09/09/2009
Sleepy Sun, based out of San Francisco, rolled through Johnny Brendas last night with their droning, psychedelic guitars and hauntingly, atmospheric vocals. Their distinct style is reminiscent of the music coming out of San Fran’s scene 40 years ago. It’s obvious they have strong influences from that time. The band will be making their way across the country, stopping at the ATP Festival in New York and ending at SF’s Treasure Island Musical Festival. Be sure to check them out, they’re definitely worth a listen.
