Kurt Vile & the Violators at Johnny Brendas 01/08/2009
Having signed with Matador Records last year, Philly native Kurt Vile seems to be well on his way to bigger things. Before he hit the road with Dinosaur Jr. and Fucked Up, Kurt Vile & the Violators played a sold-out show at Johnny Brendas last night. It was loud and raunchy. We’ll be seeing a lot more of him in 2010.
If you missed out on the show last night, there will be two opportunities to see Kurt Vile in the next month. Next week(1/14), he’ll play a Wilco tribute at The Fire. Also, he will open for Fucked Up at The Barbary next month(2/17). Tickets for that show can be found HERE.
