Questlove announces 3rd annual Roots Picnic via Twitvid
Philly’s own Questlove announced the other day via a Twitvid the lineup for the 3rd annual Roots Picnic. Similar to the previous two years, they managed to attract a wide range of artists. Vampire Weekend will headline this year’s festival with a long list of other performers, which includes The Very Best, Clipse, The Roots with Run DMC, Mayer Hawthorne, DJ Jazzy Jeff, plus many more.
The festival will be held at the Festival Pier on Saturday, June 5th. The first act will go on around 2pm with different performances occurring throughout the day into the night. There’s really no better way to spend your June 5th, 2010. Tickets for the one day festival go on sale this Friday(03/05) and they’ll be HERE.
In related Questlove news, he also announced via the same Twitvid that it was The Roots one year anniversary on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. Quest seemed to be way more excited about The Roots Picnic than his one year with Jimmy.
